NEW BEGINNINGS REHABILITATION CENTER

In 2022, we have had growth both in the infrastructure of our facilities and in the spiritual wellbeing of the men we serve. We have seen 80 young men at the center this year searching for rehabilitation. We are the only rehabilitation center nationwide in Nicaragua that provides free service to help young people who consume drugs and alcohol. Our focus in rehabilitation is Christ-centered, teaching them the word of God. We walk through the program called ¨Let’s Celebrate Recovery¨ giving away a monthly medal to motivate the guys. This year, 45% of the inmates were completely rehabilitated, starting a new life in Christ! God has been good! We want to reflect back on some great moments that took place this year in our ministry!

In June, an inmate who had been in the center for 3 months, made the decision to marry the woman he had been living with for 5 years. This inmate was rehabilitated and today he lives happily with his family. They have been connected with a local church that they regularly attend and serve at.

In October, The Bridge Team, spent a week building and loving on the inmates. They built two rooms to house 12 inmates, sharing time in devotionals, taking time for some recreation and by the end of the week, two people gave their lives to Christ, changing the path they were headed on. 

The men at the center are hard at work remodeling the kitchen. We are hoping to install all the items that came in the container, advancing day by day to be able to enjoy new facilities.

We are excited to see what God has in store for New Beginnings in 2023, to be able to bring the word of God to each of these young men.
