The property located next to H.O.P.E. Central is Haiti Home of Hope Orphanage. The orphanage has 40 kids living onsite and is led by a national staff and directed by Bill and Jennifer Campbell. They have lived and served at the orphanage for the last 14 years. HHH provides for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the children living there. Along with providing care for the children that live at HHH, the ministry also reaches out to the community through the feeding center.
The feeding center consists of two clinics each Wednesday of the week. The first is a baby formula program, for babies whose mother has died or is too sick to nurse the child. The second clinic is a food distribution of rice, beans and fish, for children 2 years of age and older who are severely malnourished. Jennifer keeps a record of each child who is weighed each visit to keep track of weight gain. Each child is also thoroughly examined for any other health problems it may have. They feed about 50 children and their caretakers through this center.
Project H.O.P.E. has been partnering with HHH for the past several years by sending mission teams to help them with the needs of the ministry. We have also helped raise funds and sent teams to build additional buildings on their property that was needed to take in additional kids from the earthquake in 2010. We continue to look forward to partnering with and helping support their ministry in the future.
