The great divide between the sick and poor in Nicaragua can easily be seen when it comes to healthcare. If you have the resources, excellent healthcare is available in Nicaragua. However, the majority of Nicaraguans do not have the resources for private care and depend on inadequate public health care. In this instance, many are left without hope as they are not able to pay for the needed care. Jerson Gonzales is currently working as a Chaplin at the public hospital in Managua. He provides the patients with hygiene items to help comfort them physically and offers prayer and encouragement as they go through this difficult time.
